This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which articles people read. It doesn't run advertising. The only other personal information it handles is what you choose to send through the contact form.
Analytics. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We use it only to understand what readers find useful. Google processes this data for us; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block it with your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on.
Contact form. If you send a message, your name (if given), email address and message are emailed to bitshyft so we can reply. They aren't stored on this website, added to a mailing list or shared. To block spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person without tracking you across sites. Turnstile loads only on the contact page.
Apart from analytics and that check, fonts and every other file are served from this site itself, so visiting doesn't send your details to font or advertising services.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
